Richard Branson was really just trying to lighten the mood.
Donald Trump had invited him to lunch "some years ago," and the billionaire entrepreneur found himself listening to a vengeful and desperate businessman, searching for a way to change up the conversation.
Trump, according to a blog post Branson published on Friday, was rattling on about how he would ruin the lives of five people who had refused his pleas for financial assistance following a bankruptcy.
"He didn't speak about anything else and I found it very bizarre," Branson wrote. "I told him I didn't think it was the best way of spending his life. I said it was going to eat him up, and do more damage to him than them. There must be more constructive ways to spend the rest of your life." Read more...
